Hi everyone, I know lots of you have been questioning the ability and potential of the Double Eagle M50. For that reason I will be showing and describing everything this rifle has to offer, without further ado I present the Double Eagle M50(also known as the UTG M324):

Ordering:
I happened to be on Hobbytron.com and while searching it's pages this rifle happened to catch my eye. I ordered the Double Eagle M50 which cost me $59.95, NC Star 3-9x40 Rubber Armored Scope, and 5,000 PHX .2g Match Grade BBs. The total for Everything including shipping here to San Diego, California was $112.54. It took 3 days for the package to get to my door before I could start giving my rifle a battle test.



Contents:
When my package arrived I quickly took the box from the Fedex man and took it to my room. As I opened the package I saw a big black box that said M50 in the top left corner and had the picture of the rifle with some optional accessories. When I opened it up I could see the Rifle with tons of stuff around it. Here is everything it comes with: Rifle(ready to be assembled in 2 parts), magazine, speedloader, pretty nice sling,shooting glasses, screws, allen wrench, unjamming rod, cheap BBs, Stock Spacers, manual, and a map of the rifle fully dissasembled to the last screw which is a good thing in case you loose something or forget where it goes.



Build Quality:
As I picked up the rifle and started assembling it, I could see that the build quality on the rifle was top notch for a $60 rifle. The stock and lower reciever are made out of high quality semi-flat black ABS plastic which is about 6-8mm thick which is extremly tough without any squeaks or cracks when shouldering the rifle. The upper reciever and outer barrel are made out of good quality machined aluminum with a flat black coat of paint over it which doesnt chip off easily. The upper reciever has a weaver rail on top that is 7 inches long and a rubber coated bolt handle, this part is really heavy and is also very sturdy and definatly well built. So pretty much it's a sturdy, well built, heavy, nice looking rifle all in one.



Assembly:
To assemble this rifle you insert the upper reciever into the stock and lower reciever, line up the three screw holes insert the screws, and begin screwing them in with the allen wrench provided. One thing about the assembly of my rifle that really caught my eye was that on the screw hole behind the trigger guard there is a pre built in screw already(the screw is already in there, no need to put one in) So don't be worried if you see one screw missing because it's already in the its hole, from what I heard from one of the posts from Nachosdesign2 about this gun that the ones with the built in screw are Version 3's with a stronger spring, so I got really excited about that.



Feel:
After being assembled, the rifle has a very nice smooth feel on the body of the gun, it feels very nicely balanced as well. Pulling back the bolt is very smooth and is not hard at all. The rubber coated bolt handle is very comfortable and since it's rubber coated it won't put stress on your hands and fingers. One more reason this rifle is very comfortable is the fact that the stock end also has a rubber pad, which when you shoulder this rifle nice and firmly you can almost feel the stock melting into your shoulder. As you can see this rifle just doesn't only look nice, It feels nice as well, Remember that when you hold it.

Appearance:
The Double Eagle M50 looks almost identical to Maruzen's APS2, except for the flash hider and that the Maruzen APS2 doesn't come stock with a lower rail. The internals are a whole different story though, They look very similar to thte Tokyo Marui's VSR-10's internals(specially the Hop-Up), But dont be fooled by that as it isn't compatible with aftermarket parts for the VSR-10. The gun has no trade marks anywhere to be found, but it isn't a bad thing and doesnt bother me at all. One of the pictures below is my Double Eagle M50 next to my friends OD green UTG M324.




Features:
One of the good things the Double Eagle M50 has to offer is that it has a handful of features all in one. The Double Eagle M50 has an adjustable Hop-Up system that is located on the left side of the gun and is adjusted by a small lever. It also has an upper 7 inch long weaver rail, lower weaver rail, 25 round magazine, fully adjustable stock pads, 449mm aluminum barrel which is 6.14mm in diameter, metal safety lever, unscrewable orange flash hider, a full metal Hop-Up assembly, and a full metal bolt with a stronger stock spring than previous versions.

Performance:
The Double Eagle M50 has pretty good stock performance.........pretty good, but not perfect. Currently my rifle's FPS stock with no modifications according to the coke can chrono is 340+ FPS, it pierced through both sides of a Coke can. Stock accuracy is effective out to about 130 ft. in little or no wind, with my scope adjusted I can hit a piece of paper 8/10 times at about 110 ft. Stock range is good out to around 170 ft. with probable torso hits with little wind using .23g BBs. This gun is QUIET my friend had trouble hearing it from 120 Ft. and with the suppressor he couldn't hear anything. Cocking is very smooth and the Hop-Up is very responsive.

Other Info:
There is a 6.01mm tightbore available from dees customs, which is also available at Hobbytron.com for a cheaper price. The tightbore will give you killer accuracy and will add about 15 FPS more. There is a guide that tells you how to make the gun sturdier and quieter on these forums, contact Baymyst for more info. Also UTG is coming out with an upgrade kit for the M324/Double Eagle M50 which will let you use upgrade springs and parts. Finally, a new company called Weltz Airsoft is coming out with upgrade kits for this rifle as well ranging from a aluminum kit which pumps out 750 FPS to a titanium kit which can achieve 950 FPS. You can ask UTGOG for his website with info on these kits.

Conclusion:
I am very satisfied with my purchase of this rifle and I think it will never let me down in battle. It's very well built for $60.00 and hits very hard, range and accuracy are good too. The feel of this rifle is excelent and so are the looks. Definatly the best or one of the best sniper rifles out there for less than $250. If you or your friends are interested in the art of sniping I highly recommend buying this as your first sniper rifle.

mm i was thinking on getting a good sniper for cheap, do u think this would suit me well and last long?

This rifle has very good build quality which means it will last, nothing has broken on my rifle, internals or externals. Accuracy and Range are nice for a stock sniper rifle, I can get Torso hits at 170 ft. This rifle will suit your needs and more! I really recommend it.

but the fps is on the low side for snipers

I had the UTG version of this gun and in stock form there was no way I would ever have gotten 170ft of accurate range. Even with .25's it was all over the place at that range. I'm not sure why, just sharing my experience. Also, I had done the teflon mod to increase the fps and it still wasn't accurate at that range.

If you do decide to get this gun, I would strongly recommend a tightbore.

If that's too expensive, consider either getting the MP001 and a tightbore and .28g bb's.

Also, you could look into the JG BAR-10 which is the best current stock sniper rifle. (stock rifle meaning out of the box performance)

My friend has had this gun for a year and a half and it stills works really well. Although it is not the gun it used to be it is still awesome.

If they gave you nothing for your review then that "contract" should be void.
They cannot create a contract to transfer your copyright to themselves, even if you agree to it, without you gaining benifit.

Secondly it is rediculious to tell someone not to post their own review regardless of who decided to "steal" that person's own copyright.

Hi I have a M50 and i was wondering where you got your supressor from, as i couldn't find one that would fit and had to make an adaptor which i think is effecting the snipers performance??
