| Obviously, since they are clone aegs, they aren't going to be as reliable as a high end counterpart. I'm just curious about what parts do you see in the Echo 1 series breaking first. Please, post any feedback if anyone has owned their gun a while, and how many rounds were shot through it. Also, speculation is accepted, although PLEASE differentiate between speculation and experience. Links to upgrade guides are welcomed as well. I'd like for this thread to help educate us Echo 1 owners as to what should be replaced/reinforced, in order to have our guns shooting as reliably as high end models. Here's a little video on how to do a full gearbox upgrade to a TM M4A1, which should translate well to an Echo 1. http://www.mechbox.com/site/mechbox-upgrades/version-2-mechbox-upgrade-video.html | |

| I've had mine for quite a while with no problems. Just make sure everything is tightened after heavy use and you will be fine. | |

| i think what is kool about these guns are that, since they fit in the universal form factor, even when you spend the extra money for a CA or TM ppl r gna always upgrade, and these guns leave a more inexpensive foundation to build upon. For example: CA upgrade to 400fps is around $450, an echo1 upgraded to 400fps is about $270 | |

| ummmm... what?? you can just upgrade the fps by spending 10 or 20 bucks on a new spring. you could upgrade it to 400 fps with and m120 easy, and ur gun wouldntneed anything else. | |

But, you can't just put in a new spring and expect everything to work peachy keen, you have to spend more money on other upgrades to make sure the gun doesn't get destroyed when you shoot it.

That's false. You would want a new battery (probably a 9 volt), and you will want to upgrade your gears as well. If you don't, your gearbox won't lat very long, there will be too much stripping on the gears.

| Yeah, I wouldn't want to upgrade the spring. The gearbox will be the first thing to go, and an M120 will just put that much more stress on the mechbox. | |

| id have to say that my echos that I own have been better than their star origionals (runs and hides) out of the box, with faster speeds..... only thing that broke thus far, was caused by my falling on my gun when i triped and fell on it (stupid water heater after dark!!!! | |
